Clinic Manager

Location: Culver City 3831 Hughes Ave. Ste 601. Culver City, CA 90232
Clinic Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating day-to-day operations of the clinic in a manner that promotes high employee morale, top-quality patient care, and a professional clinic atmosphere. Oversees and directs administrative functions in conjunction with the Clinic leadership. The Clinic Manager must understand clinic procedures and opening/end of day processes. Provides leadership to the department/clinic employees. Distributes work in areas of responsibility in order to achieve department/clinic goals. Emphasizes accuracy, productivity and completion of work within established time frames. Works with clinic leadership to address staffing issues and employee satisfaction and compliance issues. Understands the use of multi-line telephone, computer, copier, fax machine, scanner and webcam, as appropriate. Must always maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Responsibilities:
  • Assures accurate and timely documentation.
  • Directs qualified personnel to carry out policies and procedures of the clinic.
  • Ensures adequate staff education and evaluation.
  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, all local, state and federal laws relating to all of the operations.
  • Responsible for supervision and evaluation of satisfaction survey of all clients served.
  • Organizes and directs clinic’s ongoing functions.
  • Provides clerical support which may include preparation of admission, orientation and new hire packets, monitoring and ordering office supplies, typing, special projects, filing and copying.
  • Assists with maintenance of personnel files.
  • Promotes the company’s philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to patients/families, physicians and community.

Medical Assistant

Location: ALTADENA 2595 E. Washington Blvd. Ste #106, Pasadena, CA 91107
Complete Care Community Health Center, a federally qualified health care center, is looking for a full-time certified Medical Assistant to join its clinic located in Altadena. The position is under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager/Designee and is responsible for front and back office medical assisting functions, performing routine (noninvasive) patient care functions described by licensed health personnel. Must follow the established clinical protocols, policies, and procedures within defined scope of education, training, and responsibilities. Provides basic health information and education to patients using established protocols. Responsible for managing the phone calls and maintenance of daily appointments. Establishes charts for new patients and assists with scheduling new and follow up appointments.
Position Type: Full Time (non-exempt)
Responsibilities:
  • Collects and records patient data including BMI, temperature, pulse, respiration rate and blood pressure.
  • Applies warm or cold compresses
  • Collects urine, sputum, and stool specimens by noninvasive techniques.
  • Administers immunizations and medications per provider’s order. Verification of competency is required.
  • Performs venipuncture to obtain blood specimens.
  • Performs simple lab tests, including pregnancy tests.
  • Performs PPD skin test placement after appropriate training and verification of competency.
  • Performs initial health data collection, including vision and audiometric testing.
  • Handles hazardous waste appropriately.
  • Schedules routine follow up appointments.
  • Accurately files patients’ labs, X –ray, EKG results and other documents after the provider has signed off the information.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for offices operations.
  • Demonstrates correct and safe techniques in the use of equipment.
  • Reports malfunctioning equipment to the clinic manager.
  • Follow appropriate procedures for cleaning the equipment.
  • Manage phone calls and initiate inquires to the clinic.
  • Maintain daily appointment records.
  • Establish Charts for new Patients.
  • Assist with scheduling new and follow up appointments.
Skills:
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • NextGen knowledge is a plus.
  • Good Communication and written skills
  • Ability to work in team.
  • Knowledge in VFC and CHDP programs is recommended
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant school with a current MA certificate

Credentialing And Contracting Specialist

Complete Care Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center, is looking for a credentialing and contracting specialist who will be responsible for leading and monitoring the credentialing and re-credentialing processes for all physicians and allied health staff. Additional duties include ongoing monitoring of medical staff’s credentials to ensure licenses, insurance, and privileges are current and active as well as making certain that healthcare professionals and services meet all established federal and state standards. This position is also responsible for establishing and monitoring the contracting process for the providers with insurance companies and Independent Physician Associations.

Position Requirements Knowledge and Experience:
  • Previous experience in healthcare credentialing and contracting required
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of Credentialing Experience preferred.
  • Computer skills, including MS Office programs and internet research skills are required.
  • Health care industry preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review credentialing and contracting applications for full completeness and accuracy.
  • Contact relevant insurance companies to establish and verify contracts with physicians.
  • Ability to interact with medical personnel in clinics to keep up with new insurances that are being accepted.
  • Interaction with medical personnel to gather information necessary for their credentialing process.
  • Conducts thorough background investigation, research and primary source verification of all components of the application file.

  • Work with an array of departments in order to obtain information and process required applications.
  • Must be present during working hours at the office for in-person meetings and access to a computer without violating company policy.
