Medical Biller (Oncology)

Oncology Medical Biller Compensation:Competitive (based on experience) Medical Clinic is looking for a full-time Oncology Medical Biller to join its clinic located in the Los Angeles area.Medical Biller is responsible for collection of all patient accounts and insurance claims. Responsible for reviewing medical records utilizing ICD-10 and CPT coding conventions. Audits medical records to ensure specificity of diagnoses and procedures to ensure appropriate and optimal reimbursement from proper payer types. Work with supervisor to review problem accounts and identify necessary action to be taken.

Requirements:

  • CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding knowledge.
  • Knowledge of HIPPA, coding, and billing guidelines.
  • Excellent interpretation of EOBs and reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze medical records and use all appropriate International Classification of Disease (ICD-10) and current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes for billing of proper patient programs.
  • Enter and retrieve patient medical data from the System; audit medical record for accuracy and completeness, note deficiencies and refer for appropriate follow up and completion.
  • Consult with physicians and other personnel on coding practices and conventions to provide detailed coding information or gather additional documentation; maintain comprehensive records of all communications regarding suggested changes.
  • Identify potential for additional coding revenue and initiate the changes in System.
  • Verify insurance eligibility for the patients.
  • Post payments to patients’ accounts within timely period; review all denials and resubmit to correct payer.
  • Investigate the denials and follow up notes entered into the System.
  • Contact patients for current updates to their account information.
  • Sending bills to patients
  • Mail sorting and payment posting.
  • Generate weekly statements.
  • Assist Insurance claims process and follow ups.

Back Office Medical Assistant

Certified NG PM/EHR Trainer

Complete Care Community Health Center (CCCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center with ten clinics in Greater Los Angeles area. CCCHC is looking for a Certified NG PM/EHR Trainer who will become part of its team in delivering medical care to medically underserved communities. NG PM/EHR Trainer has the primary responsibility for the successful training and education support of NextGen’s practice solutions. NG Trainer is responsible for coordination and training of physicians and employees to affect compliant and efficient workflow that results in effective and complaint clinical operations and documentation of professional services. Additionally, the candidate will coordinate internal and external resources, training schedules, system development requirements and general project management activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on instruction to end-users at the corporate office and/or clinics as needed
  • Develops comprehensive, effective, and user-friendly training program with NG PM/HER training curriculum, training
    materials and FAQs for existing and new modules
  • Develops and implements training feedback documentation for attendees to utilize; adjust training agenda and approach
    based on feedback from attendees
  • Works with NextGen Administrator, clinic managers, installation and support staff to identify all training and educational
    needs
  • Trains super-users and service desk personnel on new features or systems as they are implemented
  • Assist with project planning efforts by providing estimates for training timelines, training materials, in the context of projects
  • Assist with testing new features and functionality as needed/requested
  • With input from NG administrator and stakeholders, develops and maintains an effective training request process
  • Plans and presents training for new functionality and post implementation advanced training sessions
  • Provides go-live support for new implementations at the practice sites

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of two years working in a clinic setting
  • Minimum of two years prior experience in the use and/or implementation of clinical information systems
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of outpatient practice operations including clinical, clerical and billing operation workflow
  • Must have strong customer service skills and be able to establish a rapport with physicians and staff at all levels of the
    organization
